OMG, they don't call these people trash for nothing. I have never seen such horrible attitudes to work and life in general by anyone I've ever met. Most of these people have no concept of what an education does to improve one's life, how a business operates, what doing a good job is about, among other things. One girl I know comes to work drunk all the time, others just leave their stations whenever they feel like it. Kids from the suburbs have much better attitudes. Some trashy people from the hood, trailer parks or other poor areas are decent workers, but you really have to see them work a couple days.

What is wrong with these people? Don't they realize it's their attitude that's keeping them poor?

Call me ignorant, but I WORK with these people ALL DAY.

they keep believing the lies of liberals in my opinion...that the government owes them something for nothing...we need to teach people like that hard work is the best way...try to improve their lives...if not for them then for their children...but they are too caught up thinking about themselves and what makes them happy...

What is wrong with this people?

Social conditioning and American Culture

Their attitude is not keeping them poor. They are just conditioned in taking the easy way out. But this is generalizing. It comes down to the individual.

Frankly, these people are not trash.

And you don't have to be from the ghetto or a trashy neighborhood to have a bad attitude.

There are plenty of surbanites and rich people who have bad attitutdes and provide bad service. I don't know how many times I have been cut off or cursed at by a soccer mom while I did customer service or worked at a local record shop. I didn't do anything wrong.

I lived in the projects for over 11 years and I am white (I say this becomes more or less lots like to say its only blacks or minorities that live in these places - reality check for you). I also come from a pretty dysfunctional family and single parent home. Yet, I am married, have a nice apartment, work full time, and I am working on my bachelors degree.

Sheeeeesh. Stop stereotyping.

I have a cousin who lives in the ghetto. And I must say, if you're going to degrade and disrepsect your own people in such a way, then what's stopping you from being trash?

Overall...People in the "hood" need to defend themselves. They use their attitudes as a way to protect their pride and reputation. Besides that, it's our culture, the way we're raised. If you were to take a few bad, undisplined children RIGHT NOW, and throw them into a whole, new world of proper-speech, and respectable attitudes, they would change.

IN ORDER TO FIT IN, anyone would change. And the way people are raised has a big impact on their persona and attitude.

Btw, I'm bi-racial. My mother's black. And I think you need to re-appraoch your view on Ghetto people. You haven't met US all, so I'd advise you to be a bit more respectful and less prejudice, when you don't know what you're addressing.

p.s.- a Ghetto was used the hold the Jewish hostages during Hilter's riegn...Just thought I'd let you in on that fact..

motive force Kama exists. Eg in case you don´t act politely to a motive force e.g. permitting them to bypass once you didn´t ought to in spite of the undeniable fact that it may were sensible that you had, that motive force is going to be annoyed and be nasty to different drivers all day. same component with the clipping. If those drivers you clipped clip someone´else afterwards, they´ll be a lot less probable to go away a note which will proceed in a vicious circle till some thing occurs to you and the different motive force wouldn´t be very thoughtful to you. merely stated your avatar. Hahha, yeah, those people in the suberbs, pssh, nothing like a little meth and coke to help you get to work in the morning! Those people you call ghetto are being opressed by morons like you who view them merely as an inconvienence, not as real people. Its all very simple, you have money, they do not, your suburban kind values money over anything, therefore they are nothing!

Talk about attitude!
You really like to label people. Suggest you take a look at your own attitude before you go pointing fingers at others.

You know, honestly I don't think it's their enviroment that makes them bad workers. It's just their attitude. You shouldn't blame it on 'the ghetto'.Take a look around you, not everyone has the work stick shoved up their anus. Some trailors would cost more than your house, apartment, or whatever you live in.Don't diss it till you try it.Don't blame the workers home enviroment, that's not even right.

Congratulations. You are, by far, the most ignorant person I've seen on Yahoo tonight. Sterotypes like this one are the very reason you spend your nights on Yahoo asking stupid questions. Have a good one, though...sounds like you need it.
