If you're 32 weeks and you've gained 25 pounds, that's not bad. I gained 80 with my first one, but I took it all off...not exercising or anything...just taking care of my baby!
You shouldn't deny yourself food, even if it's cake with strawberries. If you do, then you're just going to sit and think about it and stew over it, and you'll be miserable. I wouldn't suggest eating the whole thing (lol) but a small piece won't hurt you. (Assuming you're not diabetic) I say if your baby wants cake, give him cake! Women crave things for a reason...some say because your body is telling you you need a vitamin/mineral. (ex. you want a hamburger, so your body is telling you you need protein/iron) Maybe you need the vitamin A from strawberries?

Im at 39 weeks, and I went through a faze of craving sweet stuff all the time. I seemed to gain a lot of weight too... like everytime I went in. How much are you gaining? Maybe just eat a little peice to satisfy your craving! Thats what I would do. :)

Dont worry about the weight gain hun. You're pregnant. 25lb gain at 32 weeks is not bad AT ALL. I gained 50lbs my pregnancy (started at 108 ended at almost 160). Dont deny yourself something you're craving. Just make sure you eat healthy to supplement the yummy sweet cravings you're having. Youll be alot happier once you stop stressing about your weight. Everyone in the world would be happier if they stopped obsessing over weight and just lived.

i feel you must have alredy eaten it by now.if you r still controling its ok have 1 small portion n dont feel guilty, just manage the rest of the diet for the day accordingly.
25 pounds is fine just dont go any further.anyways in a month or so ull be delivering so theres not much time you can do to manage your weight.
post delivery try losing this by joining a postnatal class n regular breastfeeding.
or you can cm bak 2 me at creativefish@rediffmail.com. all the best.

You are just craving that's all, the fact that your doc told you what you can and cannot eat is what has made it worse. Just have a little now and again that way you can feed your craving and it should go away.

My Dr just told me to eat for one, not two and drink water. I don't see anything wrong with taking care of your craving. Just eat a small piece.

Do not eat it. I had gestational diabites and when I ate things that I was not supposed to my son was not getting what he needed i was actually starving the baby. and this can cause you and the child to go in the diabtic coma. listen to your doctor have some sugar free jello. and throw away the cake. I am serious.
