If you get it done, why does it take so long? Im a little lost? I know it releases that hormone into your system... but it takes a while for it to work or what? Can you do anything to make it faster?

There was a clinical study done about four years ago - the researchers discovered that stripping of membranes reduced the number of 'overdue' pregnancies and induction (forced intervention) of labor a week later. It definitely does act immediately.

Stripping of membranes releases small amounts of chemicals called prostaglandins. These chemicals start up a series of events that finally leads to labor. However, the initial part is focused on amplifying / multiplying the signal. That explains the delay

that right it takes a few days for it to start to work can take up to 6 days for it to work, and if you try walking or sex spicy foods bumpy car drives rasberry leaf tea pineapple castor oil there are heaps of natural things you can use to make it go faster
