PULL..HITING THE BALL ITS SIDEWAYS....LIKE SLAPPING ONES FACE.

HOOK..HITTING THE BALL UNDERNETH.
IF YOU HIT THE BALL OVER THE BOWLER'S HEAD, ITS CALLED "STRAIGHT HOOK"

The pull shot is played at a around chest height but when a hook shot is played the height of ball is near the face.Moreover hook is a tougher shot to execute than a pull shot.

The difference is with the height of ball, (for hook, height should be more) and the position where the ball goes. (hook goes to sqaure leg or fine leg while pull mostly goes to midwicket). Also the pull can be against a spinner.

Normally a ball is pulled for any ball which is shorter in length

it's hooked when its a bouncer.
