Look for a free women's clinic and check it out. It might just be what is called a breast extension. I have that. It showed up when I was about 30 years old.

How can I emphasize this sufficiently: YES!!!! There must be some kind of free clinc situation where you can go. How awful not to have government health care (you are talking with a Canadian here). I can't even begin to imagine the terror you must feel right now. This could potentially be deadly. Surely the American Goverment can't leave people to die like this??? Move on it, woman!!!
Best of luck. Please have it seen to ASAP.

could be a swollen seat duct, or a lymph node. If it is a lymph node you need to get it ceched out. It could be cancer. When I had skin cancer a few years ago they told me I needed checups every year, and arm pits is where they go first looking for lumps.

definitely have it checked, at least to make sure it's nothing.
my aunt had a lump in her armpit and ignored it, assuming she had probably just knicked herself shaving or something. when she finally went to the doctor, her breast cancer was in her nodes and in her lungs... she died about a year later... not to scare you, but don't take it lightly.
