The main problem I have is that shirts are too big for me. Men's smalls are generally too big. If they fit, they'll be too long, since they're made with a taller guy in mind. I know they have Big and Tall stores. Is there such thing as a Small and Short store? I've been buying youth larges recently, but I need some nice shirts for work. Are there stores that specilize in short men's clothes?

If you really want a professional look, go to a locally-owned, fine clothing store for men in your area. You will pay extra for the quality you get, but alterations will be free or inexpensive. If you want to dress well, you will be willing to spend a bit of extra money. You will also earn a reputation in your town for having impeccable taste. It is worth it.
Good luck.

Shop in large department stores that have a "young men's department." Macy's is one of my favorites. If you want to wear t-shirts, always buy the "athletic fit" (they have these at Target); the sleaves on some are fitted and look so much better than a big floppy short sleeve. And there is nothing wrong with shopping in the boys department (you can usually cut the size tag out later). You will save money in the boys dept. and get a better fit, but ALWAYS try them on first or don't be afraid to return something that doesn't fit good.

Try Sears/WalMart brandname "Arrow" under the banner "TrimFit", Hathaway (not sure who carries that brand; pretty sure it's a Canadian brand so though not sure of the availability elsewhere), Trafalgar Park (again no clue who carries that brand). Most other brandnames while supposably sized for the small man in mind fit on the large size so it's pointless. Also, Muldoon's, based in WIsconsin, sells Short & Small men's clothing online.

As for actual store's I am not aware of any.

Hope that helps!

I'm the same weight as you, only 2 or 3 inches taller. You don't have to shop in the boys department. Small men's clothes will fit you perfectly - try American Eagle, Old Navy, the Gap, and or Abercrombie and Fitch
