It's really according to the questions, but I think that some people are bored with their own questions and want to help others out. Also it could be the point thing too. With so many points you can ask the questions. Like you are right now. Sometimes it's just fun to ask silly questions and see what kind of response it gets.

If you notice people answer questions only if your avitar is exciting or your ID name stands out. I answer questions to be sarcastic or from the heart. Basically, I just answer them better than the ones posted so I can earn 10 pts. Does this answer your question which I just gave you a question to answer? See its ongoing...

Because that's how the site, the forum and this community was meant to work, you ask a question and others answer. I think they answer because they are also trying to be polite.

i don't know about others, but i give the answer just to see if i know the answer and can i put it into words.
By answering many of the questions there, i solve some of my doubts too.(Just like this one!)
