Original Equation:
    2 / 3T = (T-1) / T
Multiply both sides by T:
    2/3 = T-1
Add 1 to both sides:
    T = 2/3 + 1
Replace 1 with the equivalent 3/3:
    T = 2/3 + 3/3
Add to get final value for T:
    T = 5/3

Cross multiply : (top left * Bottom right) = (bottom left * top right)
You get: 2T = 3T(T-1)
Get all terms with T on one side of the equation and terms with no T on the other side. You get:

2/3 = T-1
Solve for T, you get

T = (2/3)+1 = 5/3.

You can check your answer! Substitute 5/3 for T in the original equation and see if the left hand side = right hand side.

i think of a huge area of folk's problems with math would desire to do with how that is taught - no longer virtually adequate genuine-international application is shown to motivate childrens to have an interest. I has a watershed 2d in highschool, while after a pair of weeks of boring, doubtless pointless trigonometry, the instructor delivered a surveyor's transit into the room. We took it exterior and began measuring the heights of close by products and distant homes. interior a couple of minutes the boredom vanished as i got here upon between the various sensible purposes of trig. So i could recommend attempting to discover sources of genuine-international purposes of the maths you're interpreting - it could turn a dry, boring project right into a much extra exciting and exciting pursuit. solid success!

Sherman, t = 0 results in division by zero. You must remove that from the solution set.

There's a little easier solution here. You can cross-negate the denominators. Remove the t's and you get:
2/3 = t-1. t = 1 2/3.

first Cross multiply
2t=3t(t-1)
then commutative property
2t=3t^2-3t
pass the -3t to the other side
5t=3t^2

and then i got stuck, sorry, i can't do anymore, my head started hurting!! =(

the person above me got it right, now i realize what to do, you should give her the 10 points, she got it right

cross multiply 1st step

2t=3t(t-1)
2t=3tt-3t
5t=3tt
5=3t
5/3=t
t=1 2/3

(2/(3t)) = (t - 1)/T

Cross multiply

2t = 3t(t - 1)
2t = 3t^2 - 3t
3t^2 - 5t = 0
t(3t - 5) = 0

t = 0 or (5/3)

2T=T-1
2T+1=T
3T=T

If you don't see how I did it, email me and I'll explain.
