There are two new ones I saw this week of interest.

1. Scandoo - allows you to use the major search engines but uses color coded icons to indicate if the site has less than professional tactics such as using spyware.

2. Boolistic - allows you to see results from multiple search engines n a tabbed format.

Google: because it shows results by different countries and languages; nevertheless; sometimes Yahoo is a second option (show results by different languages too, but is not the same with the countries... only a few countries). The Wikipedia engines is a good idea: if you need USA results a good option is Dogpile (metasearch engine) that search in Google, Yahoo and other search engines at same time. But, in my situation, Google is the first option. well, you have other options, more specific: You Tube (videos) Yahoo! Audio, ("downloadble" audio and samples), Bittorrent, a P2P search engine ("downloadble" documents, software, songs and videos); Miniclip Search Engine (Online Videogames), Google Reader (feeds) and etc., Google Blogsearch (blogs), Gmail Search Engine (my e-mails), Yahoo! My Web 2.0 (favorites or bookmarks), etc.

Google: frecuently is enough.
Feeds? (subscriptions and newsletters): Google Reader.
Something new?: Google Reader and Google Blogsearch and Google News.
Some large texts?: Wikipedia
Your e-mails: Gmail Search Engines
Entertainment (not downloadble):
1) Videos: Youtube.com; Yahoo! Video (even you can find TV videos), Videobomb, and Google Video.
2) Audio: Radioblogclub (streaming songs) and Yahoo! Audio.
3) Online Games: Miniclip.
4)Photos: you will love Flickr.

Downloadble:
Bittorrent and Limeware (songs, software, videos, etc. (installation is required).

Other search engines can find even people.

If all this isn´t enough: try Yahoo! Answers or Google Alerts (keep searching for you).

The search engines must be complemented with Web 2.0 pages like: Orango (spelling) and http://oaks.gracebridge.org/translator/ (Translation); and a calendar (Google Calendar or Yahoo! Calendar).

Google http://www.google.com is the best for me. It's much better than Yahoo!, Altavista, AskJeeves, and other search engines. However, I sometimes use those other search engines if Google doesn't give me what I'm looking for. I also often use Yahoo! because it has much more stuff than Google, like the news, the weather, and sports, and I set it as my home page.

Google is the best. The worst MSN.
Yahoo comes a close second but I always found that my search yields better results on Google.
