law school. Where's a good place in the Mid-West to get a masters degree and whats a good degree to get?

In order to pursue a Master's degree in ANYTHING, a student must have both strong undergraduate preparation in the subject or in a closely cognate area, and a passionate interest in that area of study. If you cannot imagine your life without further study in some area, then you should be looking into graduate schools. If not, there's no reason for you to attempt to pursue graduate study.

(Unless you're just looking to increase your income potential, in which case you should consider getting an MBA.)
