Don't know for sure. But considering that it was Sunni's that ratted Al-Zarqawi out to gain a piece of the Iraqi political system, I'm hopeful. But it won't stop completely for sure, in fact be prepared it will increase for a time. The important thing is that Al-Queda operations in Iraq will be interrupted for a time. During that time any plans they had in works will be carried out or diverted to more ambitious targets. Hopefully, there will be intel to stop or minimize the efforts.

The big picture is the Sunni's have turned on the terrorists and the terrorist are more and more on their own. Hopefully, the country will stabilize somewhat with the knowledge the terrorist is the enemy, not the USA

I think it is a huge step in stopping the terrorism over there. We will never completely stop terrorism, that's impossible. I mean we have American born terrorists here in the United States (Timothy McVeigh). But I think Al-Zarqawi's death may have given us a strong foothold in accomplishing our mission and brings us one step closer to victory. We will continue to have troops in Iraq for years, and rightfully so. I believe we should keep troops over there until it is proven that Iraqi's can protect themselves. Despite public opinion (public = uneducated) we are winning this war and will continue to win this war.

It won't stop, but will be diminished greatly. Zarqawi was a prominant leader and organizer for nutcase terrorists. Without him, there'll not be as powerful a galvanizing force, or organization. Many'll point to him as a "martyr" but without a living charismatic person to push......... It's tougher for people to be duped into suicide without an active participant.

No, it will not stop. He will be replaced quickly and they will seek revenge. Al Quaida is getting bigger everyday. We should have gone after them instead of going after Saddam. Now they are a huge threat.
