I'm 44 and I feel as though most others here are teenagers. Should I leave?

Nope, you definitely should not leave. I think this site will work best over time if people have a broad spectrum of answers to choose from, and they aren't going to get a broad spectrum of answers if it's only the 23 and under crowd.

Sure, there's a lot of baloney (my personal favorites are the genitals questions and homework questions where they haven't even made an attempt to answer the question on their own before asking for help), but there are also a lot of good, thought-provoking questions on this site. And those of us who are a bit older (I, myself, am in my late 30s) generally have a lot of life experience. This is a good place to share the stuff we've learned along the way, and it's also a great way to find out about cultural trends we might otherwise never have known about. So pull up a chair, and stay for a spell.

No, please don't leave! With age comes wisdom, and you are probably better placed to answer the serious questions! I myself shall leave if Y!A is taken over by the under 12s - they don't know enough yet! And it's nice to share knowledge: many times a question is asked that only someone with years of experience, reading and life-knowledge will be able to identify and answer. I came across a question which was answered quite inappropriately by someone (very young, I think) who didn't have a clue.

At 44 - old? I think not! Round about 90 is old and, as others have said, 40 is the new 30, etc!

You really aren't alone on here, age wise. I'll be 51 this Sunday and there are some of us "mature" people on here. I know a lot of kids are on here, but that is because of the "points" system and the "levels" they can get to with the points: like a computer game. But if you are willing to weed through the silly kiddy stuff, there are genuine questions asked on here and they are looking for honest genuine answers. That is when people like us come in. And also, some of the kids aren't bad and have good heads on their shoulders and ask reasonable questions that even older people like us can answer and help them. Not all the kids on here are jerks. Just like with all things human, there will be good ones and then there will be the rotten ones. But I think it is worth it to stick around. I've been on here since February of this year.
