I agree with Bambi. This is unethical (and he should be disbarred for it) and illegal. Contact the bar association for your state and file a complaint.

Call the local Bar Association and file a Grievance. Make sure that you bring strict proof thereof that the attorney did in fact remove funds from your account without your knowledge. Next file a complaint with the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) and the Federal Banking Commission. You may also be able to file criminal charges, contact the State Attorney and/or the Attorney Generals Office.

First thing to do is to contact your bank and ask them about the particular withdrawal, and tell them that the transaction was NOT authorized. If they won't help or even grudgingly help, contact your state representative or congressman on the banking committee and pitch a fit.
Do not hesitate to drop names and dates.

The lawyer has no right or business to dip into anybodies accounts. All his funds need to be paid by who owes, if deceased, then A: he is S.O.L.
or B: he can contact the next of kin in a legal manner.

I would also contact the local sherriffs department after talking to the bank. POST HASTE

In addition to the Bar Association and the bank. You should go to the police and/or D.A. and have them charge him with theft and bank fraud at a minimum. You can also sue him civily either in small claims court yourself or in regular court with an attorney. This all assumes, of course, that you are not somehow liable for your Uncle's debts. You must be your own best advocate in this situation and be relentless to the police, D.A., courts and bank until you get some attention.

gather all the information you have and report him to the bar association and the better business bureau,
you need to call the lawyer and try to get your money first and log everything, who you spoke with names and dates you called and what their response was and get any bank statements you have showing the charged account, don't let him get away with it, and even if he did return you money i would still report him to the better business bureau. Good Luck

Call your local bar association and report him. Also, get to your bank and find out why they allowed him to take money from your account. Without your permission, he has committed a crime.

call your state bar association and the local police and file a complaint against him. that is a crime and he knows it, i would also call your bank or where ever he charged it from and show them them the police report. they should put the money back in because it was an unauthorized charge.

get another lawyer and sue him for all that money and more. but its probably not easy to beat a lawyer....
maybe your uncle gave the lawyer your account to repay the debt,(i hope not) or it could just be a scam.

Take it to court and try to win.

Contact the bank that your account was accessed without your permission and you want all the money back. They will take it from there.

Your bank is at fault here. Contact your institution, and tell them your findings. There is no way with out your express permission is anyone allowed to do this. If you get no joy from the bank its time to nform the police as effectivly its stealing from you...
