The Science Museum of Minnesota's "Science Buzz" has a running thread about the 2006 Atlantic hurricane season (http://tinyurl.com/f9smk), with lots of links to other resources.
Generally, the 2006 season is forecast to be very active, although not quite as active as last year. But hurricanes are notoriously difficult to predict, so the models may not be accurate.

NOTE: if you can bring your laptop along with the latest issue of "Us Weekly" under your bed with you, go to the NHC's site. They have blank maps that you can use to draw the havoc that is to come.
