I've been having trouble thinking up titles for stories I'm considering writing. Can anyone give me tips about how to choose a title?

Dear Gunblade,

Unless and untill you give the story in nutshell no body can give you any hint. Yes, first of all you should select a theme of the stroy, you are going to write, then select the events to build the story around your theme. Now choose the characters to act according to the events in your story to give strength to the theme of the strory. Choose the names of the characters of the story very carefully to suit your story. Dialogues must be impressive, attractive and giving strength to the story and the theme. Everything must be woven around the strory to prove your theme is the right one and it is going to attract the public.

Now come to the 'Tittle' of the story of the book or a video. You can select the Tittle to prove your theme of the book or the video. You can also select the tittle of the book or video at the central character of the story. You can give the tittle to the book or a video to justify what you want to convey through the book or the video.

Dear gunblade, if you can give an idea of your story or events then I can help you.

God may help you in selecting the TITTLE of your book or video so attractive which people may like.

With regards,

Hi maybe the 'Keep it Simple and Straight' formula would work well for you. I have bought books on 2 counts - 1 where the title is easy to understand and relates to the theme of the book. 2ndly where an intriguing title catches my attention and then I take a risk on the book. But if it is a known or established author etc, then the risk is slightly mitigated. If you are starting off, then keeping the title simple and straight could help... All the best and the Booker folks would be waiting for you :)

In order to choose a tiltle for whatever you have been writing or have already written just go through the entire text again and see what the text is about the most. Its always good to select that as tiltle of what you are writing and then just add an extra line to it.Something like The deep ocean- a task ahead....Hope I have helped..

I choose a title based on the main idea. Say, for instance, I'm writing a vampire story...I'm not gonna call it something like "All The Kings Horses", I'm gonna title it something like "Ashes At Dawn". Look at what you're writing, what your plot is, and what you want people to get out of it, then title it around that idea.

Good Luck!! ^_^

well what the story is about u think of a title for it.
Example: i love the series of unfortunate events books.
the second book was called The Reptile Room. Lemony snicket thought of the title because the children's gaurdian was someone who studies reptiles and he had a whole room of mysterious and undiscovered reptiles. Do You Get It Now?

Perhaps a person's name, a critical line spoken in said opus, something from Shakespeare, or an oblique approach.

name should be sexy. nothin to do with content ,coz it ll confuse the other person to hell n just to find out relevance of name he/she will for sure complete ur book or movie or game.

usually by the author or creative team. ask someone to read your stories after you right them. it is easier to think of names after it is written.
