For your parents, yes you are. Having sex is a serious thing. Stds are not a rumor made up to scare young people, they are a fact of life. Are you taking birth control pills? If not condoms are NOT 100% effective so you COULD get pregnant at anytime you have sex. Also if you dont REALLY know your BF he could cheat on you and bring you STDs or maybe he already has one. Did he have sex before you? Has he been tested for ALL stds? If he did have sex before you and did not get tested then even if he doesnt show signs he could have an std such as herpes (includes cold sores which can spread to genitals) and gonorrhea, etc. So having sex at an older age when you know all the info and if you got pregnant it wouldnt be a horrible life altering/destroying event, that is best. Say about 20+ or at least sophomore in college. Be careful. See a doctor even year for a pap smear, get birth control and get tested every year for ALL stds. Some STDS are curable but can kill you if not found for years.

Unless you are ready for the responsibility that comes with having a baby, then yes you are too young. No matter how much protection you use there is ALWAYS a chance of making a baby each and every time you have sex.

I think it is too late to ask that question now. I'm glad that you were safe about it. As a parent i know that we would prefer that you wait until adulthood or later(smile). Are you on the pill as well.Once the young pass puberty they are physically able to deal with sex,it is the mental stuff that goes with it that scares parents along with the fear of pregnancy , lost opportunities.,and ruined futures.Be safe. Be well. Peace.

As a father of an 8 y/o I would say yes, wait if you can. In real life though I had first had sex at age 16. I would not advise this though because of the risks of teenage pregancy. I know girls that did this My ultimate suggestion wait as long as you can, if the guy is worth it .. he will wait too.

Not if you're ready to take responsibility for your actions... no birth control is 100% and if you get pregnant you have to be prepared to raise a child... but from the sounds of it you're mature enough... also, if he left you, could you handle it after having slept with him? or what if he cheated? (not saying he's gonna cheat, but that just happened between 2 of my friends who've been dating for 3 years, he cheated and she found out)

U should wait until ur older. Being an adult will make more of a difference. But, if I were you I would let my parents know before they find out from somewhere else.

If you are not ready to be married and/or are not ready to have a baby, you are too young. Birth control can fail. Condoms can fail. Relationships can fail. Think very hard about this and pray about it.
