I suppose some people might alternate between loving and hating sometimes. Which one would you rather do? If you want to be good to this person, focus on loving them. Concentrate on it. When hateful thought pop up, knock them down and replace them, deliberately dwell on the good, meditate on ways to love that person, pray for them, serve them, bless them and don't curse them. Over time, I think you can change it into a love-only relationship.
