I used to live in beaufort, sc which is like 30 minutes away and for the weekends, we would go to places up and down River Street. They have clubs, bars, places to eat, and even specialty stores. If you go into the town during the day, it sounds corny, but the malls. Go into the small or specialty stores in the malls. You'll find sometimes a simple quote can turn into a conversation and maybe a friendship. If your into outdoor sports, there are plenty of shops that always invite guest on their outings or trips.

River Street is the best place to meet others, enjoy a beverage, or enjoy a delicious dinner. But, bring your spouse along. Sharing things with the one you love is best!
