To send it as an attached file, click on "attach file" in your email program. Look over the files list for the one you want.
Or to put it in the body of your email, open the file and use copy and paste. To do that, at the beginning of the document, left click and hold your mouse button, drag your cursor from the top left to the bottom right of the document, release the mouse button, press and hold down the 'Ctrl' key on your keyboard and type the 'c' key. Release the 'Ctrl' key.
Open your email and click on "Compose". When the compose window opens, address it, click in the message area, press and hold "Ctrl" and type the "v" key. The file will be pasted into the message area. Add any message you need to, sign it and put a subject for the email in the area provided. Click "Send".

send it as an attachment. create a message, attach the scanned item and send it to your id. if you need to send it to someone else, just forward it as attachment

you have do what you normally do to send mail and there is a thing above that that says attach files (or something like that ) then you can choose what you want from diff spots on the computor then you can send it to whoever

Some scanners have a scan-to-email tool. Otherwise, you will have to save you scanned image, and then attach it to your email. Cheers!
