I am the only person at my work that was happy to hear about the death of that insurgent leader today. Most people here don't think God, Family. & Countrey anymore. am i out of date or is there a problem with america?

I am with you! My day started out great when I saw the headline. I told my kids that our brave troops killed a really, really evil person and now he was getting his "just reward" with God trying to explain to God why he did those bad things. Unfortunately, those of us with common sense are busy working to support those on welfare with our taxes and trying to raise our children. We don't have time to protest those who are too stupid to see that they are aiding those who want us all dead.

Gee- maybe America is starting to become more intelligent. Patriotism is meant to be about pride in one's nation, not blind and gullible stupidity, jumping up and waving the flag on cue. That guys death (as good as the news might be) does not really change the overall picture- maybe your workmates are just seeing the bigger picture. Patriotism is still as strong as ever but I think more people are now using their brains and asking questions. It's a good sign.

Absolutely not. I am an American citizen living abroad. And I can tell you for sure, that the people who are the most patriotic are the Americans. Americans are known for their fierce patriotism. Sure, Americans will trash talk America all the time, but if an American hears somebody who isn't an American trash-talk America, that's another story! Hell has no furry like an American scorned!

People are much more Patriotic then in previous generations. Nationalism isn't good though, it teaches the message "Right or Wrong you will obey". This is one of the reasons for the rising murder rate that cities and towns are currently facing, because Racism is also on the rise.
