I feel really bad at my work for almost three months after I discussed with a friend... I wanted to go back with the friendship but he doesn't want to, but he's my co-worker and I've been feeling miserable for almost three months. I want to forget about this and live more for myself but I just can't and I've tried talking to him a billion times... I just want to forget without having to change jobs... I love working there, but what should I do?

You have to mentally prep yourself to accomplish this outcome. From the moment you, awake on the mornings you go to work, you have to take full control of who you are. You shower, dress, and during this time you focus on anything other than this past person in your life. You go to your job, you do your work, associate with your other co-workers, and continue to mentally block him out. Avoid going around him, for the time being. Don't go to places that the two of you might of lunched together. Get involved with anything at work that could buy you the time to stay away from him or have to see or deal with him. Hook up with a co-worker/friend that you could actually make plans to do things with, at work and outside work. Stay away from people that might want to talk about him and you in the past tense. After working hours, don't go home. Go to the gym, the mall, get some friends and have drinks and or dinner. Stay busy!!! When you find yourself thinking about him, stop it immediately. You have to verbally tell yourself, you have other good things going on in your life to concentrate on. Refuse to allow your mind to take trips down memory lane. It want be easy at first, but in time, you will actually have total control over these thought issues and can block them out like they were a bad dream. I know you said its been 3 months and I understand how miserable you are. By staying busy, getting involved with other people and out side interest, in a short time, you will hear yourself laughing and feel that you have rejoined the world of the living. Some times we just have to reprogram who we are, instead of being the person we once were. I hope the very best for you........and in time your job will not be an issue anymore and you will be able to continue, "love working there".

Focus on you work only. You are wearing your emotions about him on your sleeve and he can see you are somewhat emotional about the situation. Girlie, Girl hold you head up and have no regrets about what happened. The more emontions you show the more power you give to him. You won't forget but you can redirect your thoughts and emotions in another direction.

I've been there, so I understand your sit. I just resolved in myself to just be coworkers and forget everything else that happened. Once I did that, I was able to enjoy my work and her as my coworker.
