For some reason, "Lathe of Heaven" comes to mind, based on a novel by Ursula LeGuin. There's been two made for TV adaptations: one in 1980 (With Lucas Haas, James Caan) and one in 2002 ( Bruce Davidson, Kevin Conway). Of the two, the original is the best in my opinion.

In any case, Lathe of Heaven is about a man named George Orr whose dreams come true. He's sent to Dr. Haber who starts using Orr's abilities to change reality. Needless to say, this doesn't all end well.

Based on surrealism and multi-interpretational similarities I would recommend: Mulholland Drive by David Lynch or anything Lynchian for that matter.
