Nope, but it's great that you are concerned for the health of your child! You can always ask when you make the appointment since the doctor should be able to deal with whatever special needs you might have.
I'm sure you will be a wonderful mommy since you care so much about your baby! Good Luck with everything!

Not at all. The only weird thing is that stuff they put on your eyes to dilate them, but it probably wouldn't hurt. Ask your doctor. You might want to wait until a few months after you give birth to get your eyes checked, though, because everyone I know that's had a baby said being pregnant and having a baby messed up their eyesight, then it went back to normal a couple of months after birth.

Not at all - it's a great idea. Your eyes can change while you are pregnant due to hormones. I wasn't able to wear my contacts, my eyes actually changed shape a bit, and since I already have astigmatism in both eyes, it meant that during my 6 & 7 months (I had my twins 10 weeks premature so I didn't go to term), I couldn't wear contacts and with my glasses I was blurry. Good thing I was on bed rest and didn't have to drive, not that I could fit behind the wheel.....
Have a great pregnancy!

No, they don't put any chemicals into your system other than the one that makes your eyes dialate, and that's only a topical chemical and won't be ingested or metabolised. So it is perfectly safe for your baby if you go get your eyes checked. Besides noone wants you to trip over something you didn't see and fall, which could harm the baby.

No it will not hurt the baby and actually you should get them checked while you are pregnant in case of any changes to your eye sight due to hormones and other chemical changes in your body.

no...your baby is not connected with your eyes....however, it's better to inform the doctor that you are pregnant just in case he gave you any eyedrops. if for normal eyes checkup for the purpose of getting your glasses, it will not affect your baby.

not so long as you dont get your eyes dialated, it sounds kind of silly but getting the dialation drops in your eyes can cause you go dialate down there too especially if your far along in the pregnancy dont let them dialate your eye balls unless you want to go into early labor? i guess then it could be good.
