The poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost might be useful to you - it can give all kinds of ideas for your speech. You could talk about following dreams and stars, even when it is not the most usual or popular road to follow.

The Valedictorian at my school gave a speech about how we must all follow our own path, no matter what anyone else says. And he told a few jokes the lighten the mood.

try this: "Hi my name is______ and im the valedictorian. i want to start off by thanking everyone for joining our graduation. i also want to tell my fellow classmen that now we setting of in the real world and i wish all of yall the best. life is not easy it can get hard at times but never give up on anything. Set your mind on something and put your best effort into it and never give up on your goals do all u can to achieve them. We are the future.
