In 2004 the Taipei 101 tower in Taipei, Taiwan was finished. It is now widely known to be the tallest building in the world.

Taipei 101 became the tallest building in the world on October 17, 2003. It is 1,671 feet. The Petronas Towers is only 1,483 feet.

At the moment that would be the Taipei 101 in Taipei Taiwan my friend. It is a 1,670 ft or 509 m building. Which is 187 ft taller than the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which are the second and third largest buildings in the world. The fourth largest is the Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois, United States, which is 1,450 feet tall.
