Everyone reacts to pregnancy different. I was lucky enough to be done with the nausea by 13 weeks. However, I've had 2 different friends who were nauseated throughout their entire pregnancies until they gave birth. Hopefully you will be done soon. If not, ask your doctor if he/she can give you something for it. A good friend of mine is due in December, and her doctor gave her a prescription she can take when she's feeling really awful.

Good luck, and congratulations.

The worst part of nausea should stop around the end of your third month. Some women are unfortunate to experience it through the whole pregnancy. I have a feeling that you have not yet seen an OB-GYN doctor or you would know the answer to this question or have received something for it by now. If your doctor hasn't given you anything, it may be because you are not vomiting or have not become dehydrated. There are only a couple of meds that pregnant women can take for nausea. Some cause you to be very sleepy and some women are able to do nothing but sleep all the time while taking them. All drugs have their risks. It will depend on how severe it is. Even if you don't feel like eating but small amounts, eat nutritiously. Drink fluids with sugar in them. Don't go for long periods without eating or drinking. I worked in the ER for 8 years and we found that even if dehydrated, (from nausea or just from not eating that day), drinking a large soda would cure the problem. Wait about 30 min. and retest the urine. We usually never had to start IV's unless the woman was actively vomiting. Women that cannot control their vomiting or that are unable to eat, often hospitalized for a couple of days to get it under control and find the medication that works for them. Some women may make many trips to the ER or have several hospitalizations for repeated episodes of vomiting. Good luck.

i know how you are feeling. but it is totally normal.
if it is a real problem for you go see your doctor.
there are three medications that can be perscribed to you.
one if PHENERGAN (SP?) this comes in pills and a supository
side effects makes you sleep. Great for at night!!
then there is REGLAN (SP?)this helps not real side effect just takes the edge off the morning sickness
and the there is ZOFRAN works great expensive $30+ a pill but WORKS GREAT there are no side effects. This is a cancer treatment for nausea and is safe in pregnancy. I took all of these during my pregnancy.

but i also tried the following and they didn't work but may help you

25mg b12 and 1/2 tablet of unisom
** basically same side effects as PHENERGAN makes you sleep or sleepy
my OB dr. gave me the doseage

i also tried the snacks

and try dramamine ( for motion sickness)
another the dr had me try

good luck and hope you feel better soon
usually goes away after 20-28 weeks

***unless your me and it sticks with you until you have the baby
good luck and congrats

That is a very normal symptom of pregnancy. For some women, it goes away in the second trimester. For others, it lasts the entire pregnancy. I would try eating saltine crackers whenever you feel like you are going to throw up.

I think the nausea should've stopped a while back. Call your doctor and see what he/she has to say about it. Is this your first pregnancy?
