well i think it's illigal for anyone under 18 to have sex. But i would say when you and your partner are mature enough to handle the consequuences if there are any. When the 2 of you are in a good relationship and are not just having sex just to do it, or because everyone else is. not having sex is not going to ruin a relationship. You have to be ready emotionally also. Because when you have sex with someone you not only are having sex with them, but with everyone they had sex with. So you should talk to the person before hand.Wating till you are married is also a good idea. And it seems like the best idea to me. Also oral and any other kid is still sex, and casn also have some pretty bad outcomes.

Other than the law, there is no set age for sex. It is mainly culturally based.

As a parent, I would say a teen is old enough when they understand the emotional and physical consequences and are able and willing to live with them.

In Canada the consensual age for sex is 14!! What's up with that?

Sex involves two people, it should follow God's plan (marriage), a life long commitment to each other of a man and a woman who love one another. Age is not as important as maturity and the ability to support a family which few teens would be able to do.

The right age to have sex is when you know about sex. Not just sex, but also the consequences that it can bring you. Such as unwanted pregnancies, STDS, and so on. Those are the kinds of things that most teenagers do not think about and that puts them at a risk of getting these things. I personally think that teenagers should not be having sex at all, it is a waste of time anyway. Your teenaged years are supposed to be spent having fun(basically the time of your life) not wondering if your partner is going to spread rumors of how she/he fu*ked you. That was never on my agenda when I was a teenager, I had more important things to do like getting ready for college and preparing myself for life.

Only when you believe you feel in your opinion that you are ready for the challenge of having to please your partner and raising a child and simply with your parents and your future all together!! You may always wait. If I were you I'd play being innocent until I was around 19 or 20. Flirting and dating is a lot more fun without the pressures of all that sexual stuff!!!

when you are ready to either take birth control, or take care a child. If you are a girl, go to a plan parenthood place, they give you a free papsmear and free birthcontrol for a year as long as you are in school, just call up any place and they will set a appointment, and they dont tell your parents :)

if you are a boy, be ready to take on any trouble that comes your way, such as having a child, or hiv and aids test. go to a plan parenthood with ur partners and get tested!! its worth it!

good luck!

I've been having sex since I was 12, so I don't see what the big deal is. Just as long as you use a condom. You don't want any unwanted pregnancies.
