I really wanted a boy when I was pregnant. I got a girl. Now I wouldn't trade her for the world. When she was pregnant she wanted a girl. She got a boy. Now she wouldn't trade him for a girl. God gives us what we can handle. Just keep checking in with Him for help.

When I was pregnant with my daughter (I got married and filed for divorce 8 weeks later while pregnant), I wanted a boy (because there are very few boys in my family and I wanted to name him after my brother) so bad, because of my ex-husband. I was afraid that if I had a girl, he would want custody of my daughter. My ex had a thing with little girls (that I found out too late), and I didn't want my daughter to become a victim. Anyway, I had a little girl, whom I love more than anything in the world. Her father has little to no visitation with her, he signed his rights away when she was 2.5 years old. She is now 6 years old and has the best daddy in the world, my husband that I started dating while I was pregnant with her.
If I were to ever be lucky enough to get pregnant again (we aren't doing anything to prevent it), I wouldn't care either way and even being healthy doesn't matter. If God wants me to have another baby, he will in his own time.

Well to start with I already have 3 boys, I LOVE them dearly, but that doesn't stop me from wanting a little girl. I feel I need someone that I can associate with. As my boys get older they are experiencing things that I just don't understand. My husband giggles when I ask questions or when I try to implement something that I understand from a girl's perspective. (Like when we were potty training our boys, I had them wipe the droplets of pee so that it wouldn't drip on their underwear - My husband told me that I was nuts and that I shouldn't be teaching them stuff that I don't understand.)
We are expecting again, and I will be happy no matter what the sex of the baby is. However we did buy a book & I did TONS of research on how to encourage our chances of having a girl. If we have another boy, then it was just meant to be. Plus I will get one more chance to tell people: that when you have a boy, you only have one penis to worry about; but when you have a girl, you have to worry about the rest of the world's penises.

Well with my first I wanted a girl, and I got her! With this new baby I hope it is a boy. I feel it would make my family complete. But if I get another girl, I would love it all over again because well those little outfits are so cute. And little girls are too fun!

To me it doesn't matter if it's a boy or girl, what matters is that it's a happy and healthy child. Either gender I would still love it the same.

I was hell bent on having a boy when I was pregnant, only becuase my family consists of mainly girls, and I had one! When I get pregnant again, I won't care what I have as long as it is healthy

I have one boy and two girls-if I was going to have another one, I would want another boy to balance things out. Also maybe this time, my husband's cousin wouldn't steal my favorite name!

A boy...boys are more difficult when they are little, but girls will send you SCREAMING to the mental institution when they are 14-18 years old.

boy . . . less worries later on as he gets older as opposed to girls, always have a boy first so he can be the older one looking out for younger siblings then whatever comes next, comes . . .
