look in the glove box. gm puts a list of option codes in there.

trucks are generally the GT and GU.
look for a code that probaly says GT4 (3.73) or GU6(3.42)

call the chevy dealer and they will tell you what code to look for in your glove box.There is a sticker in the glovebox with all the option codes.For example you see all the Z71 trucks,the Z71 is an option code that designates an off road package.

Go to any Chev dealer(parts), give them the vin number and they will print out the build sheet on your hot rod
