I've already given the military 4 years of active duty service. I don't like the Don't ask Don't Tell, policy, but I'm not about to let anyone tell me I can't serve my country.

been there done that and would do it again..actually kickin my a$$ that i got out, but oh well.....although until Bush gets over the money hungry war I don't want to go back. to be honest a lot of the leadership in the military could care less about orientation it is only really an issue when a homophobe brings it up, then they have to prove it......we were even told in my division not to even use the gay card to try to get out because it would not work

Despite the current residents of the executive branch, if called upon to fight for my country, I would. Simply for the fact that I can write letters to my local paper complaining about politics, have meetings to discuss how things can be changed, and stand up for myself without fear of government reprisal. That alone is worth it.

No, even if they didn't I wouldn't. I don't think I could murder anyone. Though If they adopted a gay-friendly policy then I could be a translator or work as a medic.
