That's probably just temporary. That has happened to me before a few times but my account is fine. As long as you're still able to get on Answers your Yahoo account is still there. I think it's just some kinks that Yahoo has from time to time. You can click on Help and email them about it but it probably won't speed things up in them fixing the problem.

If this is Yahoo that you are talking about, then it's just a temporary set back, because they are making changes and up dating the site with a new home page and Mail Beta.
MSN is doing the same, updating occasionally will not be able to get into the service.. be patient. is aggravating, but no worries.

If you try over & over to recover your password, it WILL say the account has been deactivated. If you're not getting a deactivation notice when you try to access your account a few times, it's probably a temporary glitch.

I just had that problem, I tried several times to check my email and it said I wasn't the person. I called my Internet service, they told me to run my Norton Anti-Virus and Spyware. After the scan on my files, 2 serious problems were detected. I had them removed, Zango loaded files into my computer and messed everything up. Now I can check my email and everything is working. Hopes this helps.

check your setting on your fire wall and on your email server, if you are using pop3 your settings may be off, sometimes the new security settings on the browsers act out also
