If you are lucky, you blew a main fuse or a fusable link. If not you may have fried the computer or other electronics. You could have also damaged your battery, alternator and starter.
I would recommend you have the car towed to a qualified mechanic.

Remove the battery and check for continuity be twin the + and - if you have continuity the positive cable from the starter can be the problem also the starter too,if no have continuity check the fuses, some times you have a fuse link that means you have a cable whit a fuse in line check for continuity from the cables near to the battery,if the engine turn but doesn't run, remove the cables from alternator and try again can be the diode inside you alt.

No way, keep trying.
Eventually it will start and you will have created the first automobile that sucks in noxious gases and pumps out fresh air and petrol. The only problem being that you will now have 5 reverse gears and only 1 that goes forward.
Well done, the inaugural annual tree huggers prize goes to you.

check your fuses inside the car. depending on the year it may have fuses and relays under the hood. try jumping it again the correct way. if you have a battery charger take the battery out and charge it.

probably did the battery in....my suggestion is to get a meter and see if your battery is holding a charge. It might be something else, but before I took apart my motor, I'd rule out the simple and most obvious things.
Good luck

You will most likely have damaged computers or electronics. If you're lucky you might just have burned out a fusible link, either way you need an auto electrician. Jules, automotive lecturer. Australia.

Check the owners manual some times they have fuses in line to prevent blowing up the computer. I f you do not have a manual call the dealership and ask them.
