The Opening Ceremony for the FIFA World Cup 2006 will be held on the 9th of June 2006, immediately prior to the Opening Game in the brand new World Cup stadium in München. To celebrate the Ceremony just before the kickoff of the first game has been a FIFA tradition and Germany 2006 will not deviate from this principle.
