I would like to SPEAK to representative from Cover Girl about one of their products. "CG Smoother Concealer (Dark)" I cant find it in any store, only ONLINE. I think it is hugely unfair that the stores don't carry it, or if they do they only have 2 tubes of it.

I am Mixed and very fair skinned and If I cant find my color (which is the darkest one they have for that line, I can't image how darker toned woman can). I shouldn't have to pay for shipping (twice the cost) for this product that should be carried in the store. Who & how should I go about approaching this situation?

I completely agree with you. I have a problem with any make up company(not just cover-girl).
I end up mixing foundations to get the right tone.
For me I have found the best makeup is Sally Hansen Fast and Flawless Airbrush Makeup for all Skins. Then I mix it with a different foundation that I cant remember. The airbrush foundation is light and semi-translucent, it blends well.

Many drugstores done carry this though, or the other foundation that I use. Visit all the drugstores in your area ( ALL OF THEM!) and find out which one has the your specific colour. Tell them that you want them to order you in some and if they dont complain to the managment that they dont carry the colours you need. Management may take you seriously and start ordering in a larger quantity.

Start with the department store where you buy your cosmetics. If you can buy it online, then the product exists so it's not CoverGirl's fault if your local store does not choose to order it. Each Target, CVS, Macys, you name the store--- they all have their own buyers and they buy what they think sells. So it's the local store buyer who is not putting that product on the shelves.

Plus you will have a much better chance of talking to a store manager than someone way up in corporate management from CoverGirl.

Make sure you remind them how much business you do with them. If they don't start stocking the product, then take your business elsewhere.

You could let the STORE know that you would like it stocked, as they have buyers that decide what goes into each store's inventory. I am personally very, very fair, and living in Los Angeles, I have a hard time finding colors that work for me, whereas colors for darker skinned women dominate. And, I also notice my regular haunts frequently stop carrying my long-used products, and it makes me a little nuts too!

I THINK THERE ARE MORE WOMEN THAN COSMETIC COMPANIES ARE AWARE OF,THAT THE COLORS THEY ARE MAKING ARE JUST NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OUR SKIN TONES..I AM STILL WAITING FOR A LINE FOR NATIVE WOMEN TO COME OUT,I ALWAYS HAVE TO APPLY MY MAKE-UP THEN APPLY A GEL BRONZER OVER THAT TO EVEN GET CLOSE TO MY SKIN COLOR...THEY NEED TO HAVE A (WOMEN OF COLOR LINE) OH WELL MAYBE SOME DAY-----

Go to the CG website and write the company itself. It may do something it, may not.

Try Prescriptives. They can match any skin tone and it is a very good make-up.
