The Philippines is a diverse country so there are many cultures.

The used to be ruled by Spain so there is a lot of Spanish culture there.

The food is good there! I can't remember the names but there is this one soup with meat and other stuff in it. I love it.

Lots of fish and pork too...

LUMPIAS, pancit, and adobo. =-) I love Sinigang(sour) soup too. I think lumpia is the most famous single item.

The people of Phillipines are a Malay people so their language and culture before being colonized for over 300 years by the Spanish had a lot in common with the areas that are now Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

BTW The term nuclear family was developed to distinguish the family group consisting of parents and their children, usually a father, mother, and children, from what is known as an extended family which includes grandparents, uncles/aunts.

Filipinos are Asian, (of course) and I don't know of really any different thing in the Fillipino culture than other Asian cultures.
They make A LOT of red meat, that's the only thing I don't like about their food, but otherwise, it's great!

Most of us Filipinos live in a nuclear families. (with our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles.). My Personal preference for food, I think Sinigang (prawn or beef or pork in cooked tamarind juice.) or Adobo (pork, chicken, potatoes in soy sauce.)
