stretch before and after, this will prevent the damage..
as for repair drink lots of water and take it easy. take some motrin or advil if the pain is really bugging you.
you shouldn't be hurting yourself when lifting weights. this isn't a good habit to get into because it will just lead to problems..

Do not take warm baths. this will increase muscle inflammation. yes, it feels good but it will prolong soreness. if you can tolerate it, cold baths work GREAT!! SERIOUSLY.
Much research has been done on recovery drinks and surprisingly, one of the best is a glass of chocolate skim milk. You need to drink it within about 45 minutes of working out though, when uptake by the body is the best. it has the perfect mix of protein, carbs and is fat free. it is cheap too! YIPPEE!

Regular exercise and lots of protein will take care of the problem. The pain will stop a few weeks into you workouts if you're doing the correctly.

I didn't know working out damaged your muscles. Unless you push too hard.

rest.. do it every other day so you do one day of training, one day of rseting and so on.. that'll give time for excersizing them and allowing them to rest and rebuild
