depends on your morals and the time scale we are talking about.

if it is an untapped reseviour, then you will make lots of money, if it will stay capped until demand peaks, it might take a couple of decades, but then you will make a fortune, if it is an old well, then it may run out unexpectadly.

but overall, oil is not a renawable resource and is the wrong source for humanities power, the more people who invest in and use fossil fuels, the longer they will be the norm.

For humanities long term well being, i suggest you invest in alternative energy sources.

Investing in an oil well is just one part. Drilling for oil is also very expensive, as is securing mineral rights to a piece of property.

Take a drive through west Texas in the Midland/Odessa area or through south central Oklahoma, and you will see more inactive oil wells than active ones.

It is great. Oil is very sought after and the prices are going up everyday. You'll be super rich before you know it.

i would invest in corn

i believe there will be an ethanol boom like the oil boom in the 1980's

u see the price of oil of corse it is a good investement. although with ethonal comming out i would invest in that!
