someone told me that I can connect the cell to pc and use it as a modem. I am not sure how that works.

You would need a data ready cell phone with a calling plan for data. The Cell Phone manual would explain how to plug the cell phone into the computer either with firewire, USB or bluetooth wireless.

No. That Part is Not true im sorry, but you CAN do it at places like fast food places, coffee shops, penerea bread, subway, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Sometimes hospitals, Alot of times electronic stores like Best Buy might, home routers, ect

u need wlan on ur fone and also need to have a router ! good luck :)
