I never know what is the proper length to adjust shoulder straps too and wonder if I'm inadvertenly straining my back or making my boobs sag depending on how I adjust them.

Make sure your bra is level on your chest, then adjust the strap to sit nicely on your shoulder. Lower you shoulder slightly....the strap should not slip out if you do it. If you are always pulling it up because it fell down your arm, it is too loose.

If the bra is brand new, you shouldn't have to tighten too much. Bras tend to get stretchy when they get older, and you may have to tighten it periodically. Just see how it looks under a plain fitted Tshirt. You'll know if it's too saggy. Also, if your breasts are spilling out of the cups, you've probably tightened it too much.

As long as they aren't hitting your chin or hiding your waist line, you should be okay (insert smiley face if I could)
