I was listening to Marketplace on American Public Media today on the way back from the lake. I heard an incredible (perhaps I should use the word "incredulous" instead) article about "post-nuptial agreements."

If you missed the article, you can find the online version at http://marketplace.publicradio.org/shows/2006/06/08/PM200606085.html

If you're a) aware of this, b) know of someone in your sphere of influence that has implemented one, or c) have implemented one yourself, I'd like to know more about it. I'm fascinated by the concept.

not all post nuptial agreement works
once married, it's very much like signing a busniess contract, amnd then wanting change order made to it to amned the contract. Post nuptials can be voided in courts, it's still realitivelty new territory, Prenups are routingely null and voided when the courts deem they are too restrictive. In essesnce if you have sizeable assest, you should NEVER get married.. period.

Not interested --- if my spouse wants to empty the bank account - steal all my jewlery - cash in the bonds ---- That's on him --- I will still be able to hold my head up high and sleep good at night - I will still have the respect(and support) of my friends and family .. My first husband left me with nothing and to this very day he is still having to work in his retirement years and lives in the trailer I let him have!
