I just recently became extremely interested in lucid dreaming. I actually just spent the last 2 hours reading about it. All I've been doing is just going to Yahoo and searching for Lucid Dreaming. The top search results are more than adequate and will definately help you out. Here are a few sites that I've bookmarked and refer back to quite often...

http://www.sleeps.com/dreams.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dreams#Waking_induction_of_lucid_dreaming
http://www.lucidity.com/
This one is extremely helpful. It's what I just spent the last two hours going reading through and taking notes.

Pretty much everything that I have read about achieving lucidity revolves around two things; dream recall and realizing that you're dreaming. you have to be able to remember your dreams so when you actual do have a lucid dream, you remember it and you have to actually realize that you're dreaming while you're dreaming to become lucid. I'm still struggling with the dream recall part. Some nights I remember a couple of dreams, others I remember none. My recall has improved dramatically compared to before I started this whole mess.
I hope this is somewhat helpful. I could get into the specifics of achieving lucidity but you can just go to the sites I provided and read it yourself from people who have actually accomplished having a lucid dream.
Good Luck

I read an article in New Scientist magazine about this a few years back. They suggest that you train yourself by, occasionally in the course of a day, asking yourself are you awake or is this experience too weird to be true. And a sure-fire test of whether you're awake is to look at some writing, like a notice, then turn away. If you're dreaming, you won't be able to remember what the message said. Their method works. I've trained myself to have occasional lucid dreams.

Try Melatonin. It is natural. Your body produces it to make you go to sleep but you can get it from a health food store. Take 10mg every night about 1/2 hour before bed. You can safely take up to 40 mg. It will make you dream like you wouldn't believe and you will remember your dreams!
Personal experience.
Also, to inhance your dream capabilities, write a dream journal every morning before you get out of bed. It should be the first thing you do. After awhile, you will see patterns, especially if you record what you were thinking or doing just before bed.
Again, personal experience.
I have had dreams that come true for as long as I can remember. I did this for quite some time, the dream journal that is. It works.

Other than wearing a nicoderm patch to bed (realllly lucid dreams), my trick is to keep a journal. If you train yourself to write your dreams down as soon as you wake up, you will become more aware of them. I do that, and I rarely forget what I dream. It's also good to have the journal because in it's simplest sense, it is a log of your subconscious. I do dream analysis as a hobby, and you can tell much about a person from their dreams.
