How do I find who my mortgage company was for a house I bought and then sold in 1993 ?

I purchased the house in 1988 and sold it in 1993 but it does not show up on my credit report. I need my mortgage company information.

All of that information is recorded at the county recorder's office. You can call the county recorder and ask them to pull the information up, unless it is a small county and the info is still on microfiche....You can TRY to call up a Title Company and have them run the property address, but usually they don't deal with private citizens...If you are using the info to get a house, the mortgage company I am going through says they only look to see if you owned a house in the last 3 years...

You should be able to see the actual mortgage, or a copy of the original documents at the couthouse of the county where the house is.
