no drinking or weed
just try to stay as calm as you can. it's hard. everyone gets nervous before a operation. you will be just fine just try not to worry. once you get too the hospital the morning of the surgery they will give you a shot and you will be way calm and soooooo happy.
we have all been there. It's not fun but you can do it.
Just go to bed and try to get a few hours.
♥good luck♥

I had surgery in January and I too, was freaking out- and I am a nurse! When you go in, everything will be explained to you. The surgeon will talk to you ( a little bit, they are sometimes not the friendliest ) the anesthesiologist will talk to you ( they tend to be VERY cool ) and the head nurse of the OR ( she runs the whole room ) will introduce herself to you and will be there when you wake up afterwards. Let me assure you, the anxiety you will feel is much worse than the procedure itself- the drugs they first give you in your IV makes you so nice and relaxed- and before you know it you will wake up and it feels like it's been 5 mins! You will be fine- it's not that bad. But I totally understand your fear.

ask the doctor to prescribe a mild sedative...If you are nervous/'freaked' out the doctor will understand and give you what you need.
If you don't care to take these pills, then use all your energy in cleaning the house-doing laundry-answering/cleaning out your email inbox-keeeeppppp busy - you will accomplish 2 things: (1) keep your mind busy and (2) accomplish something :)
Good luck on your surgery...

Pray. Be calm, cos it helps with the surgery. High blood pressure due to fear of surgery will not be good. Leave the rest to fate.

Take a hot bath, have a glass of wine, and ask your hubby/bf to give you a good massage. If that's not available or you're too young for some of this, talk to someone to distract yourself.

Have a drink.
No, wait, can you drink before surgery? I don't think so. That sucks!

Go hang out with your friends & have fun. A night on the town. Go see a movie; go out to eat someplace you've never been.

Play an intense video game, something that will completely drain your mind for hours. Play it until you literally cannont stay awake any more no matter what you do. Then, you'll sleep really well.
