I am taking care of my nephew he is 8 months while his mothers away for 10 days. He is use to breast milk and other bottle milk when he is at his babysitters. He won't drink any milk when we give it to him. My sister gave the wrong kind of formula that his babysitters don't use it but we got the other milk. He still won't dink it. We put applescauce in the milk. We made pudding out of his milk he really likes it through but thats all. He will eat solids like green beans, sweet potoaes, grapes, banana, cheerios. DO you guys no one anything else we could do?

I know what I am doing. His mother gave us some of her breast milk but he thinks its the bad milk. SO he won't drink it. Besides the milk he is doing great. I just wanted some advice.

Even though formula is supposed to be his primary nourishment, he won't starve in 10 days, especially since he's taking solids. Keep giving him water, so you know he's not dehydrated. And keep offering the formula/breastmilk. I bet he'll go for it in a couple of days.

Some kids just hate bottles. My older kid wouldn't take a bottle at daycare for weeks and weeks. They ended up starting her with a cup really early, and that worked.

Anyway, don't stress about it. Offer, don't push, and everything will be fine.

Maybe he isn't taking the milk because of anxiety from being separated from mom for so long. Even just a few hours at daycare is sometimes long enough to cause anxiety in an 8 month old when its not part of the normal routine. I would keep trying to give the formula/breastmilk. Eventually he will take the breastmilk even if he doesn't take the formula. As long as he is eating solids he will be fine. Give him water atleast until he starts taking the breastmilk again so that he doesn't be dehydrated. Good Luck!

You can only offer it to him, you did the best thing by adding it to the pudding. Just keep the dairy up to him (cheese, yoghurt etc,) My son weaned himself off me at 16 mths and still won't drink milk at 12 yrs!!

Just keep offering the formula (the one he's used to) and offer him food. He's probably confused with his mom being gone.

Keep giving him the food he's eating now. And keep him hydrated. Give him water and his juices. If you have any number that you can contact his mom call her and let her know what's happening. She may tell you something else.(She's his mom)
