Look.. I was there. My wife cheated on me and left me. I hope she rots in hell for it. You, however, I hope are made of sterner stuff. As for making him happy, keep the letters coming, the packages once a month from you with things he'll need out there as well as some sexy photos of you (and some regular) so he sees you. He needs it.
Appear calm, cool and collected when you two talk and in your emails/ snail mail. It freaks us out to hear there's something wrong. When we go away, our memories stick to that day we left and how you were. Keep that ilusion for him. He'll be fine. As for you: There are wife support groups on base. Connect yourself to one. Also: OMBUDSMAN...find one. She/He's your go-between. If there's anything new to know about schedule changes and such, they'll keep you informed. Keep busy. Hold the fort together until he gets back. Pick up hobbies or do schooling and courses. Good luck. You give us something personal to fight for.

I can imagine your having a hard time. My fiance is a marine and he hasnt been sent yet but will be deployed probably in March.

So heres the thing hes missing you just as much if not more he just needs you to be strong for the both of you. So, I would advise you take on new projects that keep you busy. You can join an online support group and chat with other military gfs/wives.

Along with that you can take on projects youve always wanted to do or join a gym, take a yoga class (helps with stress) or something.
Best of luck I know its rough but it will be okay. :)

Write him letters and let him know whats going on at home, I'm sure he'd be happy to hear from you and it will also make you feel good to be communicating with him. Keep yourself busy - get a hobby or a part time job, something for you to do in your free time to keep your mind off your boyfriend.
Try not to worry - keep your thoughts positive and pray for him while he's over there.

Just keep your mind focused on that he'll be ok and he'll be back soon. Also keep your eyes away from the news and media, they'll just get you more worried, I was in Iraq for a year and a half. Just let me tell you that it is dangerous but media makes it look more than what it is! Just stay focused with a hobby or somehting. You'll be fine and he'll be fine and you will be soon together. And please stay loyal to him while he's out there!!

Join a group of others waiting for their loved ones to come home.
The military has been around a LONG time so they have had a lot of experience helping spouses and girlfriends, boyfriends to deal with the waiting. Just ask for help.

You could start writing your boyfriend lots of letters, making him care packages of things that he would need and would use while over there in Iraq, be faithful, stay focused on your relationship like being strong, meet his family and get close to them if they live nearby and etc.

This is a great time to focus on you and your life. Do what you can't do when he is around. Start projects that you've been wanting to do, write a book...stuff like that. Keep yourself busy with you. Before you konw it, he'll be back in baby's arms! ; )
