Work on Your speed and strength. Start lifting weights on a regular basis and eat healthy. A great speed drill is to get parachutes that go on your back. do series of wind sprints with them on your back. they work great and your speed will improve. remember in football today speed is the most important thing you can take to the table.

start out with JV if you have major potiental most coaches will watch you and see if they can't bump you up. I would HIGHLY reccomend sleeping atleast an hour more than normal a few days before training to be completly rested because you will be sore. I would also recommend those energy bars, i wouldn't eat more then 2 before practice because it might make you sick, but it will definitely help you for performance. Hopefully you've been working a bit before training, because if a coach can tell you've been working they might just give you the edge over your other competition/teammates!!! BTW have fun i loved playing football! And remember to drink tons and tons and tons of water before hand and try and keep atleast 16oz of gatorade w/ you at practice it helps refuel you during practice

Determination and persistence are what determine maximum performance. It would be the easy way to go for a drug of some type, but you will have less respect for yourself if you go that route and the day will come when you will need that self respect. Just decide you're going to do your best and do that. That's all you can do and nothing more is needed.
