You did not give enough information on the car to get a good answer to your question. You can add details to you questions. Make, model, engine size.

Good Luck

Three things the motor need to run are spark, oxygen, and fuel. Since you've replaced the fuel pump, it would seem that fuel isn't the problem unless it's an electric fuel pump. You might have a fuel module on the car that is simply a small computer designed to meter the fuel and the air. If it's out, then your car won't start, or it will run very roughly should it start. I'm going to assume that you have no problem with the air because that is the least likely problem, and that leaves us with the spark. You could have a computer problem or any number of other things. I think, unless you can be much more specific, you should get a mechanic to look at it. If you know anyone who is more than the average shade tree, or driveway, mechanic, you should talk to him or go to a shop you trust. But then you've got the towing bill to think about too. It's a tough nut, but I feel you don't have the knowledge necessary to describe in enough detail what your problem is and, therefore, should find a pro near you to take care of the repair.

Well you need to know if the fuel pump is actually working. If you replaced it, I will assume it is external to the tank, rather than a submersible fuel pump inside the tank. The pump is an electric motor after all, and motors make some noise when they run. You can check to see if you can hear it with your ear near it and the ignition on. Alternatively, you can check to see if it is getting current by running a couple of leads directly from the battery to the positive and negative poles on the pump and see if it comes to life.

Shoot some ether in the intake. If the car doesn't fire, you have a problem with the ignition. Check the timing belt/timing. If the car fires and runs for a few seconds, there may be an enertia switch. Trace your wiring. The enertia switches will have a reset button.
