you should try the cleaning nozzle feature that comes with your printer, though it consumes a lot of ink. I have had the same problem with epson printers in the past.

Cos the heads are clogged or dirty - buy a new printer - cheasper than cartridges these days :-)

Either you need new ink, or the heads on the ink jet are clogged.
