My g/f was accepted into Law School in DC and I reside in PA. Any suggestions/helpful tips on how I can keep the spark in our relationship, even though we are 4 hrs away from each other, driving time? I welcome any relationship advice and unique romantic gestures I can do (i.e. send her a love card every day during the month for one month). Some romantic ideas such as that. Thanks.

Thanks to Max333, Allie, Emme, PrincessZelda, and DesertDiva for your helpful suggestions, encouraging & kind words. To the others, I guess I should have been clear in my description and explained that I'm a female in a same sex relationship, making me a lesbian. Don't know if that would have changed the result of your answers, though. Anywho, I'm still welcoming answers to this question and will be rewarding points for "the best answer." Thanks again.

Write her letters, send her pictures of you, call her every night before you guys go to sleep.

Sorry, you have a great idea, but distance is a killer, for romance.
It starts off with you both keeping in touch, and seeing each other as often as possible, and phoning, e-mail and such.
But as the weeks go by, they tend to become less often. Maybe its just a day, one time, then two days, then longer.
I'm sure your heart is in the right place, and I hope you can make it work. Just realize, it may not work.
You will probably end up with the same result as the rest of us.
A lost loved one.
Good Luck, I hope it works for you, but four hours driving, is just too much.

dont send a card every single day. It will get old. I am with my man for 7 years and for 6 months he was away. I sent him unused panties...home made cookies and I got a webcam:)
He was 32 hours away. If you can make it work...you will be okay forever (i think). It makes the relationship so strong.
Send her your boxers or toothbrush and say stuff like "I miss you cleaning me up on the sink or washing me". Make her feel special. Good luck....

Hi I couldnt but help but read this. Im doing what your doing. I leave in Idaho and My boyfriend is in Cail. for the U.S.A Navy up in San diego. Having a far away relationship can be hard. but we talk on the phone like everyday and I text him all through the day reminding him I love him and that I miss him. He calls me when he get off from work. we write letters and dont lose contact. What I do is I go to the store and I buy him cards that say I miss him and his the only for me. I send them to him. and before I moved I put little notes in his care of little reminders of how much he means to me. in his car were he would never look.
you can call her out of no were. and leave cute little songs on her cell phone. plane a day were you can come up to see her on your hoildays off. and dont tell her. you know when she works or gets off from school get that infomation and just shock her by coming to her door.
how we keep are relationship going is we always tell each other before we hang up on each other that we love each other and remind each other everyday how specail that person is to you. it works. its keeping us going and its only been 3 weeks.

Break it off while you can, Buddy. It will never work. It seems harsh now but you'll want to sooner or later.
Sorry
