Which ever Mac you choose, yes. I just graduated, and did the same research. Especially if your campus has wireless access all over the campus. All of the best students that I knew had Mac's. You can go to the University website for info about computer requirements. You can also go to the Apple website for special discounts for students.

Its more stylish for sure. No need to worry abt viruses too. Only negative is big price tag with MacBook. If you can afford one sure its a great choice. Check the software which you use most are available on Mac. Thats the big concern for people when getting Mac. Not all software/games available on Mac.

Wait and see what the college says. Some of them require you have certain types of PCs or laptops due to their networks. Your best bet is to ask or wait until they send you information before spending the money.

Macs are great! I have one. The only thing I absolutely hate about Macs is whenever AIM it always closes unexpectedly!
